Worldwide tournaments are highly popular with professional poker players who travel long distances to compete in tournaments of all different levels. The top players from around the world travel to compete in prestigious tournaments around the globe. This creates an opportunity for many non-playing poker enthusiasts to participate and win huge amounts of money. The new World Series Of Poker Europe tournament format encourages amateur and professional players alike to take part in these tournaments.

The top competitors from the WPT compete against the top players from around the world and the winner is awarded a share of the prize pool. The competition between the top players is fierce and results often mean that the winner receives a million pounds. Players from all over the world play the main tournament and some of the players competing have won prize money of this magnitude. Professional poker tournament players can now earn thousands of pounds from a single event.

The WSOPE offers four different level tournaments which allow players to choose their own starting bankroll. The tournament is played out on a special virtual poker table with the players seated in a specific arrangement. The players are allowed to have one red chip to play with and no more than nine players are in the tournament. When the tournament starts the cards are dealt out and the players then take turns drawing them one at a time, after each player has had a chance to pick up a card they must decide whether or not they want to keep it.

The player with the highest ranking card at the end of the game wins and the other poker players place a bet based on the card they chose. If they pick up more cards than their opponents, they have to place a second bet. If all players have the same cards in the hands of the player with the highest ranking card wins the game.

There are a number of ways that you can play in the tournaments such as playing in an open tournament where any poker players can sign up for the tournament or play a blind tournament. Blind tournaments are played in a separate room without the knowledge of the top players so that the players are unaware of what is happening in the main tournament. You are required to show ID before you can enter the main tournament and this is required for every single player entering the tournament so there is no room for cheating.
